How do we use geology to learn about the past? What can we learn about ecosystems, the climate, and and geologic events by looking at rock formations and fossil remains?

In this activity, students will go on a gallery walk and examine 10 images. For each image, they will write one question they have, and one inference about that time period based on what they see. This is meant to be an introductory activity to your rocks and minerals or geologic time unit. Because of this, I recommend grading for completeness, not correctness.
